The fourth episode of Top of the World for 2017 welcomes Psychedelic, Folk inspired artist Jack Millar to the Podcast. Jack is a 22 year-old Sydney based artist who has drawn similarities to Jose Gonzalez, Pink Floyd and Joanna Newsom. Jack released a single and video clip for his song “Mind Reader” on April 24 which he followed up with a launch show at Oxford Art’s Factory on May 4. “Mind Reader” is the first single from his forthcoming debut 7-track LP which was self-produced and self-recorded in his shed over a 30 day burst of inspiration. Jack plays all instrumentation on the LP including but not limited too keyboard, percussion and guitar and vocal overdubs.

Jack is also one part of Sydney three-piece band NARLA who are about to begin writing an album after returning from a successful run of shows which included the Byron Bay Bluesfest. Jack has performed at iconic venues around Sydney like the Annandale Hotel, Town Hall and Corridor in Newtown. He has also headlined a show at The Newsagency and Art Party and also performed at the Sydney Blues and Roots Festival. This Episode also includes songs from Maples, Diamond Duck, Sufjan Stevens, Maia Marsh, Joanna Newsom and Lisa Hannigan. Jack also performed his Single “Mind Reader” live as well as a not yet released track “My Friend” from his Debut LP.
